Chinese Toolbox Modes and Prices

The goal of these modes is that no one would be excluded from using Chinese Toolbox due to financial limitations. The most basic mode, Chinese Toolbox FREE, is a good tool for learning Chinese characters, and it is totally free. For those who can afford to support this project, other mode(s) provide increased functionality, all at very reasonable prices.

The next major release of Chinese Toolbox, version 11.1 or 12.0, will introduce a new operating mode: WORD Mode. READER Mode will be elevated to a higher price point with the most advanced functionality of all the Chinese Toolbox modes. Those who purchase a READER Mode license for the current version of Chinese Toolbox 2011 will get quite a bargain, especially those with 5 or 10 year terms.

1. Chinese Toolbox READER: Full featured, most complete Chinese Toolbox operating mode. $49.95 to $69.95 per year with the next major release. Currently, $29.95 per year until the release of Chinese Toolbox WORD.
2. Chinese Toolbox WORD: $29.95 per year. Will support all the features of Chinese
   Toolbox FREE plus basic word dictionary functionality, similar to the May 2011 release of Chinese Toolbox 2011.
3. Chinese Toolbox FREE: No charge. A character-oriented learning tool. No word functionality. Improved over the 2007 and 2009 releases.
4. Chinese Toolbox TRIAL: No charge. Supports most of the functionality of Chinese Toolbox READER, however, for only 15 days.
