For questions about Chinese Toolbox (software problems, website problems, “how to” questions, feature requests, etc.), please send an email to support@chinesetoolbox.com.

Regarding support:  Before requesting help on some particular feature, please first check the online help. It’s possible that your question has already been answered. If it has, my reply may simply be a link to the page that answers your question. If the online help is lacking, your questions will help me to improve the documentation.

Regarding feature requests:  Please email your feature requests to support@chinesetoolbox.com. I do have a long list of features already planned, but hearing from you will help me to prioritize my development. I have ideas of what would be great to have in a program for learning Chinese, but you likely have ideas too. Please let me know what you think. I will do my best to accommodate.

Regarding business:  If you’d like a customized version of Chinese Toolbox, say for your Chinese school or university, or if you have any other business ideas relevant to Chinese Toolbox, please send an email.

Known problems: Currently, I know of two minor problems with version 11.0.0.2. Neither of these affects the reliability or stability of the program. Version 11.0.0.3 will probably be released in a few weeks. If you discover any problems with the program, please let me know. Serious problems will be fixed right away.

  1. If you click on the desktop or another window while the program is launching, the progress bar (indicating launch progress) will stop. After less than a minute on most systems, the Chinese Toolbox windows will appear.
  2. Data pasted into the Notes field of the Word Dictionary is not saved unless you type something in the field.
