A Chinese Reader

Chinese Toolbox 2012 is a Chinese reader program, a program for reading Chinese texts. The text can come from almost anywhere, but it usually comes from a Chinese web site. Select and copy the text you want to practice reading from a Chinese website, click on the Reader frame in the Chinese Toolbox Reader window, and press Ctrl-v on your keyboard, or click on the “Import Document” button. The text will appear in the Reader with all characters and words linked to the two built-in dictionaries. Characters that are components of Chinese words will be underlined. When you click on or select via the keyboard such a character, the character definition will appear in the character dictionary window, and the word definition will appear in the word dictionary window. If the character is not underlined, then it stands alone; it is its own word and the definition will appear in the character dictionary window.
