Learn Chinese

The entire purpose of Chinese Toolbox 2012 is that you learn Chinese, you learn to read Chinese and understand it. The more you can read Chinese, then the more you’ll be able to incorporate what you learn through reading into your conversations. Chinese Toolbox 2012 is not mainly for translation, though it can be used for that. Chinese Toolbox 2012 provides the software tools for you to learn Chinese by reading what you’re interested in. The primary tools are automatic lookup of definitions and tagging for unassisted reading.

Though the focus of Chinese Toolbox 2012 at this time is learning through reading, features supporting other types of learning will be incorporated into the program in the future. See Upcoming Release for more information on the features planned for the next release of Chinese Toolbox.
